Bran Castle is a large mansion/fortress known for housing the infamous vampire; Count Dracula. As such, it is widely known as simply Dracula's Castle and is a common setting in horror related works. It has had an uncountable amount of appearances in media due to the popularity of the vampire ever since he first officially appeared in the critically acclaimed novel Dracula, written by Bram Stroker.
The castle is actually real, located in the heart of Romanian, but no evidence links to the possible fact that Stroker was aware of the castle's existence. The castle, either way, is truly based off Vlad the Impaler's castle since the Romanian count is the direct inspiration for the immortal vampire who soon raised in popularity.
